What this site is for
Residuals exists to help you walk into a dealership already knowing what a fair lease looks like, and to help you understand what the car will be worth when you hand it back. Everything here is intended as research to support your own decision.
These are estimates, not quotes
Payments, buyout amounts, projected market values, equity, taxes, fees and rebates are all modelled estimates. Manufacturer programs change monthly and vary by dealer, region, credit approval, trim, options and negotiation. Only a signed lease worksheet from a dealer is a real offer. Where a number comes from a scraped manufacturer page we say so on the data sources page; everything else is modelled and labelled as such.
Not financial, tax or legal advice
Nothing on this site is financial, tax, accounting or legal advice, and no client or advisory relationship is created by using it. Provincial tax rates, registration fees and electric-vehicle rebates change without notice; verify them with your provincial authority and with a qualified professional before acting on any figure.
Our independence
We are not a dealer, lender, broker or manufacturer. We do not accept payment to rank, feature or recommend any brand or vehicle, and no dealer can pay to change a rating, a return-strictness score or a projected value. If we ever introduce advertising, referral arrangements or paid placements, they will be labelled clearly wherever they appear.
Third-party data and trademarks
Retained-value ratings reference publicly published award programs including Canadian Black Book Best Retained Value, Canadian Black Book Best Residual Value and J.D. Power / ALG Canada Residual Value awards. Those organisations are not affiliated with Residuals Canada and do not endorse it. Vehicle names, brands and logos belong to their respective owners and are used for identification only.
No warranty and limitation of liability
The site is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. We do not guarantee that any figure is accurate, current or complete. To the fullest extent permitted by law, Residuals Canada is not liable for any loss arising from decisions made using this site, including money paid or lost at lease signing or lease return.

Your chosen province and shortlist are stored on your own device. If you create an account, we store your email and saved shortlists so you can return to them, and we do not sell your personal information.
